Why do you need and NDA? To protect your information and the one of your partners/clients. It could be said that a NDA is a formality before negotiations between you and your client/contractor.
What is you benefit? For a start, you look more professional if you have a good one ready to send instead of asking for one. And it protects your information of course.
I can include non competition and non circumvention clauses if needed.
